What Our Program Offers
The program does not offer direct scholarships but provides tuition-free education under Germany’s Dual System. Applicants have to get their German Language Certification and their admission and/or job secured before they leave the country.
- Financial support is available through:
- Paid internships integrated into the program (net earning €1,000–€1,500 per month).
- Loan programs (e.g., State Bank of Pakistan loans up to Rs1 million for training, visa, and settlement expenses).
- Potential NGO-based financial aid in Germany for selected candidates.


Eligibility for the Learn and Earn program through WWCoF and IPN
- Language Proficiency German Language Proficiency B2/C1 depending on major/career Has the ability to research and choose and create a career plan
- Create a personal folder, document your career research findings, put your resume, cover letter and credentials in the folder
- Once German Language proficiency is achieved, get admitted in a Vocational or a degree program and receive a internship offer
- Find verified housing
- Is self-empowered and self-sufficient to “learn and earn’ in the dual study program and can use time management skills to manage themselves when they arrive in Germany
- Demonstrate financial proficiency. Use a budgeting tool for 6 months and show that the candidate can budget and manage their finances.
- Will follow SFF/WWCoF reporting and guidance procedure Willing to pay forward as a volunteer by helping others who will arrive in Germany in future

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION Contract Obligations
“Leaving a German Dual Study Program ahead of contract. Potential Financial Penalties”
If you decide to drop out of a dual study program in Germany, there could be financial penalties, depending on the terms of your contract with the company and the university.

All dual study programs involve a contract between you, the company, and the university. This contract often includes clauses about the duration of your commitment and the financial support provided by the company, such as tuition fees and salary.

If the company has covered your tuition fees or paid you a salary during your studies, you will be required to repay these costs if you leave the program early.
Notice Period: There may be a required notice period you need to give before leaving the program. Failing to adhere to this notice period could result in additional penalties.

Management Estimated Expenses & Earnings –Year One
Estimated Expenses
- One Way Air + Visa = E1,000
- Monthly Expense E800/mo which includes E60/mo for semester fees with shared living and medical insurance
- There is no tuition fees
- Three-month reserve to cover living and semester fees E3,000
- Estimated E4,000 cost that needs to be financed until income rolls in
Estimated Earnings/Savings
- Net salary E1,000-1,500/month first year. Normally salary increases by 15% every year until you graduate
- Internship Net income E800-E1,200/month – Expenses 800/month=savings 0-E200/month
- Work on weekends/ mini jobs extra –Savings E6,672
- You can finance your cost of education and payback your loan in one year if you work weekends and have financial management skills
After Graduation/2-3 Years
- First Year salary Range E45,000-60,000/year depending on profession
- Blue Card after 3.5 years based on meeting certain salary requirements
- The EU Blue Card is a residence permit for University graduates and third-party nationals with specific professional experience, which facilitates and promotes the permanent immigration of highly-qualified workers to Germany from non-EU countries.
- After 5 years you can apply for German Citizenship

First Pathway- Bachelors or Master Degree Program
The German dual system degree program is commonly referred to as “Duales Studium”. This program combines academic studies with practical work experience, allowing students to gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training simultaneously.
- Structure: Students split their time between attending university courses and working with partner companies. This integration ensures that theoretical knowledge is immediately applied in real-world settings.
- Duration: Typically, these programs last between 2 to 3.5 years, depending on the specific course and institution.Classes + 80 hours per month work
- Intake—Fall /Winter and Spring/Summer
- Pay depending on degree 1,200- 1,500 Euros per month
- Age 20+ no upper limit
Eligibility
Academic Qualifications:
- For Bachelor’s Programs: A higher education entrance qualification, such as the German Abitur or an equivalent international diploma. (13 years of education)
- For Master’s Programs: A recognized undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Grades becomes important
Language Proficiency:
All dual study programs are conducted in German, requiring proficiency at the B2 or C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Employment Contract:
A key component of dual study programs is the partnership with a company. Applicants must secure a training or employment contract with a cooperating company, which often involves a separate application and selection process.
Additional Requirements:
Some programs may have specific prerequisites, such as prior internships, relevant work experience, or particular subject knowledge.

Go directly to university portal or visit Uni-Assist Universities. Uni-Assist serves as a central application portal for many German universities, but it doesn’t cover all institutions.
- Eligibility: Ensure you meet the academic requirements, which usually include a higher education entrance qualification.
Recognition of foreign certificates | Handbook Germany
You can check the official portal Anabin to see whether your school, university, and degree are listed as recognized. You can read more about this in ‘How can I find out whether my qualification is categorically recognized?
In the recognition process, your degree is compared with a similar German degree. When your qualification is verified as an equivalent to the corresponding German degree, your diploma is “recognized”, and you will have better chances
in the job market.
All people with foreign qualifications have the right to this recognition process- it does not matter what residence status or nationality you have.
- Interviews/Assessments: Be prepared for interviews or assessments as part of the selection process.

Academic certifications: 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th-grade certificates.
Note: If you don’t have a 13th-grade certificate, you can submit a certificate for one year of university studies.

Second Pathway - Dual vocational training "Duales Ausbildungs –Upskilling and Reskilling

The German dual system for vocational training, known as “Duales Ausbildungs system”, is a highly regarded approach that combines practical, on-the-job training with theoretical education at vocational schools. This system ensures that trainees gain both hands-on experience and academic knowledge, making them well-prepared for their careers
- Key features of the German dual system include:
- Combination of Work and Study: Trainees split their time between working at a company and attending vocational school.
- Industry Collaboration: Training programs are developed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure relevance and quality.
- Standardized Qualifications: Trainees receive nationally recognized qualifications upon completion, which are valued by employers across Germany
